Hockey vision training

See the ice differently.

Most players train their body. Elite players train how they read the game. Hockey Vision Training builds the cognitive edge, so you process plays before they happen.

Player training with strobe vision glasses at Ghost Athletica

1-on-1 with Coach Ryan Harris. Sessions from $50.

What is hockey vision training?

Off-ice cognitive performance work, built for hockey players.

Using neuro-visual drills and perceptual training protocols, you'll build the mental hardware that drives on-ice decisions.

This isn't reaction-time gimmicks. It's science-backed, coach-trusted training used at the highest levels of the game, now available to players at every level who want to close the gap.

The 4 pillars of vision training

What you'll train

01

Tracking

Follow pucks, players, and gaps simultaneously.

02

Reaction

Shorten decision-to-action time on the ice.

03

Awareness

Expand your peripheral field and spatial sense.

04

Focus

Lock in under pressure in high-speed situations.

Coach Ryan Harris

Ryan Harris is a Grand Valley State University student on his way to optometry school, and a college hockey player who knows firsthand what vision has to do with performance on the ice.

After dealing with his own vision challenges, Ryan became obsessed with the science behind how athletes see the game. That personal experience is now his mission: helping players at every level build the visual edge that changes how they play.

His sessions combine neuro-visual protocols with a competitor's understanding of hockey, because Ryan isn't just a coach. He's still a player.

Remote vision training

Elevate your game from home. The same neuro-visual protocols, built around four core eye movements that drive every play on the ice.

Convergence
Train your eyes to converge precisely, which is critical for tracking incoming pucks and passes at speed.
Divergence
Expand your visual field to track players moving away from you and read off-puck positioning.
Saccades
Rapidly shift your gaze between targets: the split-second scanning elite players do without thinking.
Smooth pursuits
Smoothly track players skating up ice without losing depth perception or situational awareness.

3 sessions per week, with bi-weekly Zoom check-ins. Train your vision from anywhere and take your game to the next level.
